Tasting notes
Three cups
- 1the first hour
First sip
Immediate sweetness. You inherit a farm, clear a little fog, meet a villager, plant something, cook something. The art is warm, the writing is light, and the first ten minutes are the most pleasant on the bench.
- 2the first week
Mid-cup
The first week keeps giving: each cleared stretch of island has a small puzzle or a character with a request, and the map goes further than expected. The energy system is the only brake, and it refills on its own; the shop's main pitch is to refill it faster.
- 3a month in
Finish
A short finish. By the third week the timers are doing more of the pacing than you are and the decisions are what to plant and where to walk. Lovely over a coffee, not enough body for a strategy player's whole evening.
Pairs with
- A calm ten-minute morning ritual
- Anyone new to the genre
- Explorers who like clearing a map
Leaves a bitter note if
- Shallow by week three
- Energy timers set the pace
- Nothing that compounds over months
